The i2k PinPoint API offers simple, easy-to-use standard C function calls. Primarily these calls establish the base images and their properties and then match a target image against the base image or images. A few utilities allows some refinement to the behavior of the software, but all of the power of i2k PinPoint is realized in just four or five function calls.

i2k PinPoint may also be run from a command-line interface, providing essentially all of the functionality of the API. This is especially useful for batch processing.

Both the API and the command-line executables are available on all major platforms, including Windows, Mac, and Linux, working in both 32-bit and 64-bit environments.
